As is now habit, Caro heads over to Walter's house. This time she's bringing another stew, but this one happens to contain squirrel and a more exciting assortment of vegetables than usual. The squirrels are courtesy of the Hawthorne boy, as are some of the vegetables. The rest are from venturing out to do legal shopping, which is still something of a novelty. She also bought some of those apple and goat cheese tarts from the bakery, which was an... adventure. At this point she's feeling almost invincible. (She was also smart enough to stock up on baked goods while she was there, because she's not entirely sure if or when she'll go back.)

So here she is, knocking on his door. She's got jars of stew, some of those tarts, and a little bit of squirrel meat out separate that she cooked but didn't do anything else to. Bourbon doesn't really need herbs and spices.
